Heteropteryx is a monotypic genus of stick insects.
Heteropteryx dilatata, also known as jungle nymph, Malaysian stick insect, Malayan jungle nymph, or Malayan wood nymph, is a large member of the Phasmatodea family. 
It is the heaviest of all stick insects. It is very large, brightly green in color (females) and can live up to 2 years. The females are much larger and wider than the males, reaching 5.5 inch to 6.7 inch in length, and 30 to 65 g in weight
